Unclaimed body at Tura Civil Hospital

TURA: A person who was discovered by a police patrolling party in an unconscious state at Boldakgre Village under Salmanpara Police Station way back in 2018 has reportedly died on December 25 at the Tura Civil Hospital.

According to a statement issued by the South West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, one Akash Ali (75) alias Kashim Miah was found unconscious by police on April 3 2018 and sent for medical examination to Ampati Civil Hospital. He was later referred to the Tura Civil Hospital on April 5 and admitted at Psychiatric ward, where he died on December 25.

The dead body of the deceased is being kept at the Tura Civil Hospital Morgue and his family members have been requested to claim the body.
