SHILLONG: Governor Tathagata Roy has approved the list of Executive Committee of KHADC on Thursday as per the order of the High Court of Meghalaya.
The Chief Executive Member Latiplang Kharkongor had moved the court for the appointment of Mitchel Wankhar, Macdalyn Sawkmie Mawlong, Lamphrang Blah and Ronnie V Lyngdoh as the executive members and Grace Mary Kharpuri as the deputy chief executive member.
Sources said that the governor had to approve the list of EC members in compliance with the court order as he had no choice though the UDA members met him on Wednesday seeking a special session.
