M’laya eves defeat Mizoram by 5 wickets in U-23 ODI tournament

SHILLONG: Meghalaya defeated Mizoram by five wickets in their U-23 Women’s One-Day Trophy match in Cuttack on Friday. Meghalaya won the toss and put Mizoram in to bat first and managed to skittle them out for 99. Luiza Tamang was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4/14 in her full complement of 10 overs. Riticia Nongbet also had another good game, conceding just nine runs in her 10 overs while claiming two wickets. Sandria Momin (2/16) and Neelam Roy (1/23) were the other wicket-takers. In the chase, Razia Ahmed was the rock of the innings, top-scoring with 29, while Tamang hit 19 off just 22 deliveries for Meghalaya to reach 100/5 in 33.4 overs and claim all four points.
