BSF seizes Yaba tablets

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF) along with the Meghalaya Police recovered 6000 Yaba tablets in 30 packets worth Rs 60 lakh and 10 gram of suspected heroin valued around Rs 50 thousand.
The BSF along with the state police carried out a special operation in East Khasi Hills. Acting on a tip-off, the team stopped a suspicious Maruti Alto (ML-05-Q-2979) at NH 40 near Pomsutia under Pynursla outpost, East Khasi Hills, coming from Shillong towards Dawki. During the search, the team apprehended the contraband from the possession of three people. The BSF PRO, Meghalaya, UK Nayal, lauded the efforts of BSF and Meghalaya Police and said that similar operations will be undertaken in future.
