SHILLONG: Jaiaw MDC  of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Paul Lyngdoh wrote to the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma condemning unprovoked aggression by the state government of Assam in Langpih.

Lyngdoh expressed concern that there is apparently a calculated move on the part of the neighbouring state to aggravate the situation and resort to an undeclared war against the defenceless villagers.

He said that a strong response from Sangma against the latest acts of hostility was the only viable option.

With the demand for the constitution of a Boundary Commission being rejected by the Union government, he said that it was incumbent upon the two state governments to sit across the table and resolve all outstanding issues pertaining to 12 identified areas of differences.
