SHILLONG: A residential house was completely gutted in a major fire incident at Lumshyiap, Nongmensong. The fire broke out at around 3 pm on Sunday.
Police confirmed that there were two tenants living in the house and short circuit was the cause of the mishap.
The house was occupied by the two tenants – Biku Sarki and Hira Maya Thapa. Quick response from the neighbours stopped the fire from spreading further.
