The Rotary Club of Shillong has urged the people to ensure that proper hygiene and physical distancing are maintained as fears over COVID-19 keeps mounting in the country.

Shops closed
The United Sindhi Association of Shillong in its meeting held on Sunday decided to close all non-essential Sindhi businesses in the state from March 23 to 31 in wake of the coronavirus.

Appeal
The coordination committee of the Central Government Employees & Workers, Meghalaya has urged the state government to close all post offices and banks in the state with immediate effect to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the advisory of social distancing specially in public offices.
