One held for violating self-quarantine norm

NONGSTOIN: The Additional Deputy Commissioner, ADV Shira, along with the paramedic of Nongstoin and Nongstoin Police, on Tuesday detained one resident of Mawphansyiar for violating the self-quarantine guideline.
The village authority of Mawphansyiar village near Rambrai said the Calcutta-returnee, who had been self-quarantined for 7 days at home after his arrival, was seen roaming around at Rambrai market and other places.
With the family and village authority failing to control the said person, the District Administration had to be finally intimated.
The District administration, then, along with the paramedic and police, rushed to the village and apprehended him.
After conducting legal action, he was sent for a seven-day quarantine period at Nongstoin Civil Hospital.
Officials from the Health department said that stern action will be taken if failed to cooperate.
