Civil Hospital denies turning away patient

SHILLONG: The Civil Hospital, Shillong has refuted allegation that it had refused to admit a patient, who was suffering from withdrawal symptoms and stomach pain. The hospital in-charge said that OPD and other services are not closed. “There is no instruction to stop any of these services. We are taking all patients ”, the official said.
A traditional healer, Plios Khongsit, who took his relative, who suffered from a stomach problem and withdrawal symptoms, alleged that the hospital did not admit him stating that it is being used for treatment of COVID-19. He was later admitted in NEIGRIHMS.
