JOWAI/Nongstoin: Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla released rice to ten villages under his constituency on Wednesday.
The sacks of rice were handed over to the village council of Mukhla, Phlongingkhaw, Mihmyntdu, Khliehtyrshi, Sabahmuswang, Ialong, Madur, Niriang, Loomkhudung and Sohmynting.
“This time I will first release the rice to rural villages and later I will start with those in the urban area”, Shylla informed.
He also urged the people of his constituency to accept the help he can give by providing them with rice during the shortage of essential commodities during the lockdown.
MDC gives 300

Meanwhile, War East JHADC MDC, Gillroy Tariang has donated 300 sacks of rice to be distributed to poor families under his constituency as part of helping the poor families during the ongoing crisis. Sacks of rice were handed over to various village council in the presence of the Dolloi Satpator Elaka, Daman Lakashiang.
Dorbar Shnong helps poor families
The Dorbar Shnong Tympang, Iawmusiang Jowai supported 41 poor families of Tympang with essential commodities. The headman, Eddystone Shylla informed that these families were daily wage earners and due to the lockdown they are facing hardships in terms of ration and other essential commodities.

Further, a woman in Wapungskur, East Jaintia Hills, Chiarmon Dkhar has donated essential commodities to all 340 families in the village. Dkhar started to help the poor families a few days ago based on the localities in the village. On Thursday, she completed her mission to help the poor families in the village.
Meanwhile in Nongstoin, local MDC Gabriel Wahlang distributed 600 quintals of rice to different villages under Nongstoin Constituency at Congress Bhavan Nongstoin on Thursday.
Addressing the media, Wahlang said that the distribution was done as part of helping the poor under his constituency after KHADC has released the sanctioned amount of Rs 10 lakh. He told that the distribution was done with the advice of villages leaders so that all assistance could be reached to the needy.
