Shillong Airport distributes foodgrains

Shillong: Under the Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) programme, Airports Authority of India, Shillong Airport on Friday distributed 5000 kg of rice to the eight villages covering about 500 needy families living around the airport.
Airports Authority of India under Corporate Social Responsibility scheme has already donated Rs 10 lakh for the state govt during the Covid-19 outbreak.
These food grain packets were handed over to the village heads through Block Development Officer, Gram Sewak and community leaders.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Ribhoi R M Kurbah conveyed her gratitude to AAI family for their support during the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
