Meghalaya wants 8 state highways upgraded to national highways

SHILLONG: Meghalaya government has proposed to the Centre to upgrade eight state highways to national highways.

Talking to reporters, the Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Prestone Tynsong informed that the central government was examining the proposal submitted by the state government.

Tynsong on Tuesday attended a review meeting with Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari through video conferencing.
