AR reaches out to ‘veer naris’ in city

SHILLONG: The Assam Rifles team from Headquarter DGAR, on Wednesday, reached out to the ‘veer naris’, widows and dependents of ex-servicemen residing in the city to enquire about their well being, a statement issued here informed.
The regiment had also extended assistance to starnded students and destitute homes in Churachandpur in Manipur, the statement said.
The Assam Rifles battalion also helped the civil administration in Tulihal and Mantripukhri districts of Manipur with water masks as well as essential commodities.
