SHILLONG: The executive committee of the Dorbar Shnong Pohkseh has advised its residents to be cautious while going out during the night at a time when government restrictions are imposed.
The Dorbar Shnong of Pohkseh has expressed its displeasure of the incident that happened on April 25 involving a resident of Pohkseh who was found to have misused a government vehicle and was caught by volunteers in Malki during the ongoing national lockdown in addition to the curfew imposed by the district administration.
In a meeting held on Thursday to discuss the incident, the Dorbar Shnong warned that necessary action will be taken against residents who flout the government and the Dorbar Shnong restrictions.
It may be mentioned that a case has been registered at Laitumkhrah Police Station against a resident of Pohkseh, Phoebe Dale Smith Nongrum for unauthorized driving of ML-02-0416 (Bolero) and negligent driving. Videos of Nongrum arguing with police officers inside a police station have also gone viral.
