NCERT sets up online learning centre

SHILLONG: The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has established an online counselling centre for information on education and health related topics and to deal psychologically with lockdown related disorders.
In a statement, librarian and counsellor of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for North East said that through the initiative, trained consultants from NCERT are giving free consultations.
The initiative is due to the nationwide lockdown aimed at easing stress and depression among the students, parents and teachers.
Around 250 consultants have been given the responsibility of providing advice by dividing it into North Zone, South Zone, Eastern Zone, Western Zone and Delhi Division. 19 counsellors were listed for North East.
Singh said that during lockdown, topics like behaviour, e-books, online classes, course material, time management, stress management and, online course preparation are being consulted. Students and parents can contact Whatsapp number 9451004722 and [email protected]
