Rice released
The office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply) Amlarem Sub-Division informed the public that rice under PMGKAY scheme for May has been released to those households under NFSA (AAY and PHH). Under AAY (5 kilos per head) and under PHH (5 kilos per head) which is free of cost. Anyone taking money or is not given their share can report to the BDO office (Supply) Amlarem so that action can be taken against them.

Unclaimed body
The office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills informed that an unidentified body of a man was found lying at Golflinks near Nepali school here on April 2. The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination following which it was kept in the morgue room for claiming. “All concerned who can identify the deceased are requested to contact 2224818/2224400 or 2222214/2222215 for claiming the body,” the SP’s office said in a statement.
