Thiruvananthapuram: A day ahead of the start of Keralites from abroad, Kerala recorded no new of coronavirus, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday.
The state has recorded 502 positive cases so far, out of which there are 30 under treatment.
“A total of 14,402 people are under observation at their homes while 268 others have been kept under observation at different hospitals across the state,” said Vijayan.
Vijayan also said that non-resident Keralites are arriving from Thursday. “There are two flights as of now – one from Abu Dhabi to Kochi and another from Dubai to Kozhikode. We are waiting for further instructions from the Centre,” he said.
“All arrangements are ready for those arriving and those who are coming have to follow the guidelines of the authorities,” added Vijayan.
As of Wednesday, there are 84 hotspots in the state. Eight districts of the state’s 14 are Covid-19 free. (IANS)
