MAWKYRWAT: The Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo, informed that Mawkyrwat market will continue to be regulated as per the existing arrangements.
Being the biggest public market in the district with heavy rush, the market will be regulated and the weekly market system will remain suspended until further orders, Laloo said, adding that additional passes will be issued to the headmen and market IDs will be increased based on the population.
She also said that all other government offices will function at 100% strength for Group A and B officers while attendance for Group C and D staff will be regulated in such a way as to ensure that physical distancing is maintained at the work place.
