Evaluation of answer scripts may take more time

 SHILLONG: Though the state government had fixed end of May for the completion of evaluation of answer scripts of SSLC examinations, it may take some more time.
An official source said on Sunday that while the evaluation of minor subjects will be completed by May, major subjects will take some more time.
Earlier, on the initiative of education department during the COVID-19 lockdown period, the order to restart the evaluation was issued on April 20 and the evaluation restarted from April 22.
According to the government, as far as the progress of evaluation is concerned, some subjects have been completed while others are in the evaluation process.
The education department said the evaluation of examination papers started in the first week of March with the involvement of experienced evaluators.
