Getting dropped by Guardiola lowest point of my career, says Hart
London:Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart conceded being dropped as No.1 custodian by then new manager Pep Guardiola was the lowest point of his football career.Guardiola brought in Claudio Bravo from Barcelona to take over goalkeeping duties as Hart became the second choice keeper behind him.”It will sound pathetic but it’s the truth, it’s not playing and not being wanted,” Hart said on show ‘Football, Prince William and our mental health’ as per Daily Mail.”Things happened with the new manager at Manchester City, probably the most important manager in the world.”He didn’t even necessarily not like me, he just had a certain aspect which he didn’t feel I was up to, and it kind of dropped from there.”It’s certainly the lowest point of my footballing career but it’s not a dark cloud,” he said. Dutch GP postponed till 2021
Zandvoort: Dutch Grand Prix on Thursday became the latest Formula One race to be officially postponed till next year in the wake of coronavirus pandemic that has hit the entire world.The race was set to take place at reworked Zandvoort circuit after for the first time since 1985 but fans in the country will have to wait for another year to see action from quarters.”We were completely ready for this first race and we still are,” said former F1 driver and Dutch Grand Prix sports director Jan Lammers in a statement as per F1.com”We and Formula 1 have investigated the potential to hold a rescheduled race this year without spectators, but we would like to celebrate this moment, the return of Formula 1 in Zandvoort, together with our racing fans in the Netherlands. We ask everyone to be patient. I had to look forward to it for 35 years, so I can wait another year.” The organisers also announced that tickets sold this year will be valid in 2021 when the race next takes place in the country. It was earlier reported that Austrian GP, currently scheduled for July 5, could host the first race of the season behind closed doors. (IANS)

Bumrah misses training session
Mumbai: Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah on Thursday said that he is missing his early morning training sessions amid the COVID-19 pandemic which has wreaked havoc across the world. India has been under lockdown for more than two months now with cricketers cooped up inside their homes bereft of any sort of outdoor training.Bumrah would have been playing for reigning champions Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but with the cash-rich league standing indefinitely postponed due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, he has little to do in terms of cricketing action.Recently, former West Indies fast-bowler Ian Bishop heaped praise on Bumrah and referred to him as a ‘generational talent’.Bishop said Bumrah is a completely different fast-bowler with respect to yesteryear superstars.(IANS)
