13 COVID-19 patients discharged from TMCH

GUWAHATI: Thirteen COVID19 patients were discharged from Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) on Monday after testing negative on two consecutive occasions.

They were felicitated by TMCH authorities and Sonitpur district administration with a gamocha and a basket of fruits in a ceremony organised at TMCH. The MLA of Dhekiajuli LAC, Ashok Singhal, Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh, Joint Director, Health Services Dr. Krishna Kemprai, Principal cum Chief Superintendent Dr Karuna Hazarika, Superintendent Dr Madhab Rajbongshi and others were present on the occasion.

The discharged patients will now have to go through 14 days’ mandatory home quarantine. The Sonitpur district administration arranged for their transportation to various districts.

The patients discharged today are: Mularam Sumol, Lakshya Sonowal, Ghana Kanta Sonowal from Dhakuakhana, Lakhimpur, Sushil Boro of Chariduar, Sonitpur Bhagyabati Bhumij from Udalguri, Sanjib Kutum from Gohpur, Safikul Ali from Darrang, Saiful Islam, Mustafa Kaman, Faridul Islam from Dhekiajuli, Sonitpur, Aditya Singh from Bokajan, Sonitpur, Bishal Mandal from Rubber Bagan, Tezpur and Pranati Das from Puthimari, Sonitpur.
