Two more test positive for COVID-19, Meghalaya tally up to 30

GUWAHATI: Two more residents of Meghalaya who had returned from Uttar Pradesh have tested positive for COVID-19. Both of them are under quarantine in Chibinang, West Garo Hills District.

With detection of the two new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Meghalaya has gone up to 30 including 17 active cases, according to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya on Tuesday visited Matchakolgre and Araimile localities where individuals are under Home Quarantine. He interacted with locality members and residents under quarantine to boost their morale to put up a brave fight against the pandemic.

He also visited community quarantine centres at Te•Teng A•Ja and Jerusalem.
