Assam’s COVID-19 cases go up to 2835

GUWAHATI: The number COVID-19 positive cases in Assam went up to 2835 with detection of 59 cases late Monday night.

The State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma informed in a late night tweet that 14 of these cases were detected in Dhemaji, 13 in Darrang, eight in Nagaon, six in Biswanath, six in Sonitpur, five in Barpeta, two in Chirang, two in Dibrugarh, one in Bongaigaon, one in Karbi Anglong, one in Kamrup (Metropolitan) district.

The state now has 2044 active cases after discharge of 784 cured patients from various hospitals and after death of four patients.
