Appeal to follow order in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: The Nongpoh Town Committee (NTC), on Tuesday, urged the inhabitants of Nongpoh Town to adhere to the order issued by the deputy commissioner of Ri Bhoi and wear mask at all time in public places.
In a statement issued by NTC chairman CB Syiem and general secretary Rayonald Kharkamni, the committee said it is optimistic that people will follow the order as their contribution to fight the pandemic. It informed that violation of the order will result in fine up to Rs 1,000 or six months of imprisonment or even both.
