Gurugram : Three unidentified youths allegedly robbed a Delhi police constable of his vehicle and cash in Pataudi on Monday night.
The victim, identified as Rishi Raj Singh, is a constable in the Delhi police and is currently deployed in the ministry of home affairs.
Singh claimed that he was on his way to his native place Kosli in Rewari district. When he reached Rajpura village in Pataudi tehsil, a vehicle overtook him and signalled about some problem in the rear side of his vehicle.
“I thought there was some problem with the rear wheel and hence I stopped the vehicle. As I was about to step down from my vehicle, three youths came near me and one of them pointed a gun at me. They overpowered me, forced me into the rear seat of the vehicle and tied my hands behind my back. One of them started driving my Breeza SUV while two others held me hostage at gun point,” Singh said in the FIR.
“They tied a towel around my eyes. After driving for 15 to 20 minutes on Jhajjar road, they dumped me in an isolated agricultural field. They also hit me on my head with the pistol butt. They took my wallet having my Aadhar card, PAN card, debit card, credit card, Rs 1500 cash and CDS liquor card along with my Breeza SUV.”
Surindar Singh, ASI at Helimandi police post which comes under Pataudi police station, said that an FIR under Sections 394, 397, 365 of the IPC and under the Arms Act has been registered and an investigation is on to identify the accused. (IANS)
