Two primary contacts test negative

NONGSTOIN: Two primary contacts with a COVID-19 positive patient from Umsamlem were tested negative on Friday.
Medical officer, West Khasi Hills Dr M Bareh said that the two persons from Pyndengrei and Nongpathar in Maweit were taken for swab test and other necessary procedures were followed and the result came out negative.
However, the medical officer added that the health department will monitor their condition if there is any symptom in the coming days. The second test will be carried out after 7-9 days as per protocol, the officer added. Both of them are under quarantine.
