SWKH extends night curfew

Mawkyrwat: South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo on Tuesday extended curfew in the district till 6 am of June 29.
The deputy commissioner also informed that movement of people from 9 pm to 5 am within the district will remain prohibited, adding that fines will be imposed on people moving in public places without wearing a mask. Mawkyrwat market will continue to be regulated while weekly markets will remain suspended until further orders
The market timing has been re-scheduled from 9 am to 4:30 pm, the order said, adding that upto 2,105 market passes have been issued to headmen villages.
The deputy commissioner has also urged upon the residents to install Aarogya Setu mobile application and regularly update their health statuses there.
