SHILLONG: KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum has urged the state government to not allow people from outside the state to enter and to put stringent measures in place.
In a statement issued here, he said that there are many people from Assam and Bihar entering the state without hassles.
The state Health department, Police department and district administration should ensure that only immediate family members are allowed.
Nongrum questioned as to how the people entered the state at a time of interstate lockdown and added that they should not take advantage of Meghalaya being a transit state.
