BSF seizes 11 kg ganja

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force has seized 11 kg of ganja near the Indo-Bangla border on Saturday. Acting on tip-off, BSF troops of 28 Bn BSF Meghalaya spotted suspicious movements near the border fencing in Kalaichar, South West Garo Hills on Saturday. Realising the BSF troops were on to them, the smugglers fled taking advantage of the darkness and downpour. The troops carried out a search operation and recovered 11 kg of ganja wrapped in four plastic bags. Later on, the seized ganja was handed over to the police for further legal action and disposal.
