Plaints galore over lockdown violations

SHILLONG: Violation of lockdown restrictions continue unabated with the perpetrators throwing caution to the wind endangering themselves and others as well.
The list is long.
On July 13, Orester Jala K of Lachumiere, Shillong lodged a complaint that on that day, three persons — Kushal Bajaj, Necha Agarwal and H Ahmed — violated protocol by plying their vehicle (ML-05R-7007) amid lockdown, without a valid pass.
On the same day, Jala K lodged another complaint that two persons — Ratish Chandra and H Ahmed — both of Lachumiere were responsible for bringing one truck from Haryana to Lachumiere amid lockdown and curfew imposed by the district administration. The truck entered the locality without prior notice to the Dorbar, thus posing threat to the residents of the locality.
Earlier, on July 8, JD Sangma, Executive Magistrate, Tura, West Garo Hills lodged a ()complaint that on that day Sasi Kumar R., Asst. Professor, NEHU, illegally entered Tura from Tezpur, Assam, on his vehicle. On the way, at Bajengdoba, he was instructed to report for spot registration and medical screening at ISBT Tura. However, he went to his rented house at RC Road, Tura.
On July 6, Meroly R Marak, Special Executive Magistrate, Tura, lodged a complaint that on the day one Mantu Saha of Singimari, Assam, illegally entered Tura via Garobada, without registering himself at the entry points or giving prior information to the government.
On 5 July, A W Momin, Addl. Executive Magistrate, Tura lodged a complaint that one Doyal Burma illegally entered Tura from Assam via Dhubri and Paikan (Assam), without registering himself at the entry points without informing the government.
