13th Mile now orange zone; curfew relaxed

NONGPOH: The Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi, in an order on Tuesday, declared the areas under 13th Mile, Tamulkuchi, as ‘Orange Zone’.
Unauthorised entry and exit from the zone is barred till the area is declared safe, the DC said in the order.
On the other hand, the DC informed that Baridua and Khanapara remain to be containment zones.
The DC has also relaxed curfew in the area as well as in Byrnihat, Khanapara, Jorabat-Baridua, Ampatama, Umshru, Sukhoinijira, Iewmawroh, Bakhlapara, Hawla, Jimbrigoan, Lynkhung, Patgaon, Umsen, Jyrmang, Bernongsai Nongkhlaw, Bernongsai Nongspung, Umsaliang, Gunapati, Mairapur, Nongkyllang, Ranijirang, Umshalani, Ranibari, Balakhawa, New Balakhawa, Bilpara, Halher, Akhoinijira, Garobhanga and Ulubari between 9 am and 5 pm till further orders.
