SHILLONG: Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) MLA, Adelbert Nongrum said that the people should appreciate and encourage the two COVID-19 patients — Meban and Shanivia Wahlang — who openly declared about their infection.
In a statement issued here, the MLA said that a reward or a certificate should be given to the persons who openly declare testing positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, he said that the Dorbar Shnong should take up the responsibility of making announcements and lighten the load of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
PA systems should be allotted to all Dorbar Shnong for making the announcements.
