18 New COVID-19 positive cases detected in Meghalaya, total active cases 605

SHILLONG: With detection of 18 new COVID-19 positive cases, the total number of active cases in the state has gone up to 605.

Out of the new positive cases, 13 were detected in East Khasi Hills (EKH) district including 13 returnees, three armed forces personnel, five BSF personnel and four others.

Ri Bhoi district has reported four positive cases including three returnees while East Jaintia Hills (EJH) has reported one new positive case.

Out of the 605 active cases, EKH has 497 cases (BSF-213, others 227, armed forces 57), Ri Bhoi has 50, West Khasi Hills 5, West Jaintia Hills 17, FJH 17, West Garo Hills 16, South West Garo Hills 4, South Garo Hills 2.

Twelve persons have recovered in the state of Sunday including 10 from BSF. Total number of recovered patients in the state so far is 264 and number of deaths reported five.
