4 more die of COVID-19 in Assam, death toll mounts to 109

GUWAHATI: Four more persons died of COVID-19  in Assam on Monday taking the state-wide death toll up to 109.

The deceased were identified as Subrata Patra (45, Kamrup M), Haren Mahanta (65, Sivasagar), Sukendra Kumar Tanti (53, Tinsukia) and Madan Dutta (80, Dibrugarh).

Meanwhile, 2371 new COVID cases were detected in the state out of the 41958 tests conducted in last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 5,65%.

Maximum number of 414 cases were reported from Kamrup (Metro), 282 from Dibrugarh, 251 from Nagaon and 192 from Kamrup (R).
