Containment order for Jhalupara compounds

SHILLONG: After detecting cases/high-risk contacts, few specified compounds around Jhalupara area have been declared as containment areas in order to carry out contact tracing, testing and prevent any further spread of the disease, while restrictions were lifted from two buildings in the city.
The District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills, in an order, informed that the Musa compound and Gopalji compound in Jhalupara and Goenka compound (Kamakhya Complex) opposite Cantonment Beat House have been declared as containment areas and unregulated entry and exit movement has been restricted.
Order lifted
Meanwhile, the district magistrate also lifted the containment orders from the housing complex of Thomlin Nongrum, Block-II, Lawmali Pyllun and the building of Quincidory Shallam, Lower Lumsohra, Laitumkhrah, with immediate effect.
