Meghalaya update: 63 new COVID cases, 862 active cases

SHILLONG: With detection of 63 new COVID19 positive cases and recovery of five more persons, the total number of active cases in Meghalaya has increased to 862, as per the latest available bulletin from the State Health Department.

So far, 730 patients have recovered in the state which has reported six deaths.

Of the newly-detected cases 50 are in East Khasi Hills (EKH) alone (41 armed forces, one BSF and 8 others).

Out of the active cases 515 are in EKH, 100 in Ri Bhoi district, 214 are in West Garo Hills (WGH) and rest are distributed among other districts in the state.
