NPP, family pay tributes to Late P A  on birth anniversary

SHILLONG: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya and the leaders of the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), Conrad Sangma today laid the foundation of the NPP office in Shillong in a befitting tributes paid to the founder of the party Late P A Sangma on the occasion of his 73rd birth anniversary.

The leaders of the NPP gathered on the occasion paid tributes to Late P A Sangma as well as paid respects to former President, Pranab Mukherjee who died yesterday, by observing two minutes’ silence.

Meanwhile, family members and well-wishers paid their respects to Late Purno A. Sangma on his birth anniversary at the P. A. Sangma Stadium, Tura where a statue of the late leader was set up in his honour earlier this year.

Lok Sabha MP from Tura Parliamentary constituency and daughter of P A Sangma, Agatha K Sangma led the family members in paying tributes to the department former Lok Sabha Speaker who represented Tura in Parliament.
