Illegal firearms factory busted
Muzaffarnagar (UP): Police raided an illegal arms factory here and recovered 24 pistols and a large number of cartridges, officials said on Saturday.
The arms manufacturing unit was located at Harsoli village in Shahpur area here, they said.
Three men, identified as Vakil, Latafat and Sadik, have been arrested in this connection, said Superintendent of Police (rural) Nepal Singh. (PTI)

Man arrested for looting pilot
New Delhi: A 22-year-old man, who was arrested for reportedly assaulting and robbing a pilot at gunpoint on IIT flyover in southwest Delhi, has been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, police said on Saturday.
According to police, P Silva, a history-sheeter, was found involved in more than 12 cases of theft, robbery and snatching. A case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been registered against him, they said. (PTI)

Soldier killed in LoC ceasefire
Srinagar: An Indian soldier was killed and two others injured on Saturday in firing on the LoC in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan troops, which indulged in repeated ceasefire violations in several sectors.
Defence sources said the soldier was killed and two others injured in Naugam Sector of the LoC. The Indian Army retaliated strongly to the firing by Pakistan troops. (IANS)
