Random tests for over 200 funeral attendees

MAWKYRWAT: In South West Khasi Hills, the Health department is set to conduct random tests for around 230 people, who attended a funeral at Mawsaw village
The District Surveillance Officer of South West Khasi Hills, Dr W Nary, on Friday, informed that the Health department will visit Mawsaw village on Saturday to conduct COVID-19 tests for 27 high-risk contacts (family members) and more than 200 others, considered low-risk contacts.
One Handarius Sangriang from Mawsaw village tested positive for COVID-19 recently, and the district administration, subsequently, instructed those who came in contact with the family members of Sangriang and attended the funeral at Mawsaw village on September 14, to undergo home quarantine and await further instructions.
