Another GH village declared containment zone

TURA: Rongsaigre Village under Phulbari CHC in West Garo Hills was on Friday declared a containment zone after 6 Covid-19 positive cases were detected during testing on Thursday.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh informed that contact tracing would be conducted and urged people to cooperate. A containment order in this regard has also been issued and unregulated entry and exit to and from the area has been prohibited.

Shops and other business establishments have been ordered to close and people have been requested to follow all the guidelines of the containment order with a warning that any violation of the order shall invite prosecution under the penal provision of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.
