Encourage elderly to avail schemes: DLSA to para legal volunteers

TURA: District Session Judge-cum- Chairperson, DLSA, Tura, D Kharbteng, has advised para legal volunteers to encourage elderly to avail various provisions and financial assistance being provided to the senior citizens by the government.
Kharbteng suggested this during the observance of Senior Citizens Day in the conference hall of the District and Session Judge, Tura.
The programme, which was organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tura, was attended by Kharbteng as the chief guest.
During the programme, Kharbteng also suggested the para legal volunteers to approach interested individuals to open old-age homes in the region.
