SHILLONG: With an aim to disseminate awareness on the importance of COVID-appropriate behaviour for prevention of COVID-19, the Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya, has launched a poster and pledge-taking campaign in the state.
According to a statement, the office of the Deputy Controllers of Civil Defence has been actively engaged in the campaign in their respective districts by raising awareness in various villages, elaka and blocks of the state. “The aim of the campaign is to sensitise the public towards appropriate and responsible behaviour during the unlock stage of COVID-19 and festive season. Posters reminding citizens about COVID-appropriate behaviours such as wearing of masks, frequent washing of hands with soap and water or sanitiser and maintaining social distance and administration of the pledge is all part of this campaign,” the statement said.
