Theft
On October 29 morning, police conducted search in the house of one Banskhem Lyngdoh Nonglait at Kynjatphutbol, Lumparing, Shillong, and seized few stolen mobile phones and other items, which were reportedly stolen from a mobile repairing shop at Police Bazar and a shop at Lawsohtun, Shillong. Meanwhile, the police have arrested the accused.
On October 27 around 8.30 pm, acting on a tip-off, police arrested two persons, viz. Arwin Kharkrang (18) and Rasminton Jana (20) while they were attempting to sell one stolen TV set to a trucker, viz. Kall Hajong. During inquiry, it transpired that the duo had stolen the TV set from Mawiong.
Secretary, Managing Committee, Nongthymmai Presbyterian Secondary School, under Umsning Outpost, Ri Bhoi, lodged a complaint that on the night of October 27, unknown miscreant(s) stole one computer set valued around Rs. 25,000 from the school building.
On October 25 around 7 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole a mobile phone belonging to Santosh Masih from Rapsang Market, Shillong.

Assault
Maya Kaur of Cantonment, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on October 26, her son, Kishore Singh, attempted to attack his wife and daughter with a sword. He had also ransacked the house and damaged one TV set.
Anoy Paul lodged a complaint that on October 25 around 9.45 pm, one Debo Prasad Paul and three women went to his residence at Choipani village under Dalu PS, WGH, assaulted him and also threatened him with dire consequences.

Cattle seized
On October 25 at about 4.20 pm, BSF personnel of Kasinda BOP detected thirteen cattle heads from a place near BP No. 1235/2-S (EKH). The seized cattle were later handed over to the Society Prevention Cruelty Animal (SPCA) at Patharghat, Shella.
