Crematorium
The Shillong Electric Crematorium will remain shut for everyone till November 19, which is tentative. A statement on Thursday said the decision has been taken owing to a “major technical fault on important machineries” as well as due to the developing cracks in and around the machinery room.

JNV entrance
The entrance examination for Class VI in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in the Garo Hills will be conducted on November 7. This was intimated by the Principal of JNV Williamnagar, KK Mishra, who also said that to procure the admit cards, the students can visit the JNV website or contact the concerned principals in the region.
