Assaulted
Mostafizur Rohman lodged a complaint that on October 29, around 6.30 pm, five persons — Khairul Islam Mondal, Principal of Kazi & Zaman College, Zulfikar Islam Mondal, Zakirul Islam Mondal, Sofiquel Islam of Kazi & Zaman College and Abdul Hashem — assaulted and threatened him with dire consequence at Bhaitbari in West Garo Hills.

Illegal quarry
T Wanniang, Divisional Forest Officer, East Khasi Hills, lodged a complaint that Siralin Marboh of Mawpat and Pynbiang Nongspung of Tynring village are operating stone quarries without having any quarry permit.

Fraud
Raghav Chokhani lodged a complaint that one Abhishek Das, who was working in his firm ‘JB Textile’ at Police Bazar from October 13 to 17, has not returned back t work. The complainant also informed that he had taken an advance of Rs 6,000 and was also provided with a new mobile phone for office use. On October 19, the complainant tried to call him but he blocked his number from all media platforms. It was also found that the accused person has stolen mattress, pillows and doormats valued around Rs 22,500 from the warehouse before disappearing.

Foreigner apprehended
On November 5, one Bangladeshi national Md. Udalil Nurul Huda (32) was apprehended from Rabidaspara area, Mahendraganj in South West Garo Hills.

Theft
Hanaris L Marshillong lodged a complaint that on November 4, between 8 and 9 pm, miscreant(s) stole her bag containing Rs 2,00,000, three pairs of earrings and finger ring from her shop at Nongmensong, Shillong.
Lamuel Marweiñ verbally reported that on November 4, around 11.35 pm, miscreant(s) stole Rs 5 lakh in cash and important documents from his vehicle (ML-05L-7949) which was parked at Sumer Umbang in Ri Bhoi.

Oil drums missing
Site Engineer of M/s CCL International Ltd lodged a complaint that on November 4, two ‘black oil drums’ were found missing from their camp at Datang A’pal village in East Garo Hills.
