Jawahar, Contractor of M/s Gupta Construction, lodged a complaint that on January 21 around 6 pm, one Vikas Swain (25) was caught red-handed while stealing aluminum scrap from his store at HQ, EAC(U), AF.
Sotis Roy Youroin lodged a complaint that on December 16, 2020, he purchased one second-hand Audi car (ML-05S-7595) through one Clarence Jason Rajee (agent) for Rs 17 lakh, and on February 3, Clarence took the vehicle for servicing at Audi Service Centre, Guwahati. After a few days, the complainant contacted Clarence who did not respond. However, on February 18, the complainant found that his car was offered for sale in OLX, and realized that the aforesaid person has stolen his car.

Unpaid dues
Abdul Bashir and three others, all of Chirakhaowa village, Assam, lodged a complaint on February 18 that between January 24 and 27, one Nekib Mahammad (63) of Ichakuri village, South West Garo Hills, along with his son, purchased bricks valued at Rs 3,35,500 from them and paid only Rs 55,000. On February 4 and 5, Nekib handed over four cheques to the complainants for the remaining amount. However, the cheques were bounced, and the accused failed to pay the remaining amount.
