TURA, March 8: A night watchman who was manning the office of the PWD in Tura’s Nazing Bazar has been found murdered on Monday morning.
Police were called in after the morning staff coming to office found their chowkidar in a pool of blood inside the premises of the PWD (R) Mechanical Division.
Police found the victim, Sapenson G Sangma, inside the office where he usually sleeps on the floor with multiple head injuries indicating a gruesome attack.
“Our Araimile beat house received a telephonic information at 9:15 am from the PWD office that the chowkidar is found dead. An enquiry and inquest was conducted and the body sent for post mortem examination. We will presume a case of homicide” informed West Garo Hills SP, MGR Kumar.
