The minor, who had gone to buy grocery item, did not return home on the evening of March 6. Subsequently, the family members of the minor intimated the police and a search operation was conducted with the help from the locals.
Albeit the search operation yielded no result, the body of the girl was recovered the next day from a place near Borsohra Market.
Police have, meanwhile, informed that the probe is under way and they are awaiting the post-mortem report while no arrest has been made so far.
