MoU signing
An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)-signing between state pollution control boards (SPCBs), urban local bodies (ULBs) and Institute of Reputes (IORs) was on Friday held at Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Headquarters, Delhi, which was virtually attended by various government officials Meghalaya. According to a statement, the programme was attended by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
Unclaimed body
An unknown male body was on March 22 recovered from Dhori jungle at Mawiongrim. Subsequently, inquest was conducted and the body has now been kept at the morgue of NEIGRIHMS for identification and claim. According to a statement, the deceased is 40-45 years old and his complexion is dark. His was last found wearing black terry cotton pants, white vest and striped shirt, and two silver finger rings. One of the rings had Sani (in Hindi) inscribed on it.
Basanta Utsav
A programme will be held at Brookside Rilbong on Sunday at 10 am on the occasion of Basanta Utsav during which tributes will be paid to Rabindranath Tagore with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols. According to a statement, the programme is being organised by one Malabika Bisharad.

Social Welfare Minister Kyrmen Shylla will inaugurate the Kripa Foundation De-addiction Centre for Juveniles at Mawkasiang, Mawdiangdiang, on Tuesday at 11 am.
Deferral
The principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Niangbari, Ri Bhoi, on Saturday informed that the JNVST-2021 examination for Class 6 has been postponed to June 19 from April 10.
