Shabby bridge worries FKJGP

NONGSTOIN, March 29: The Federation of Khasi-Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP), Rambrai circle, has expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the timber bridge Syllang of Mawrusyiar village, West Khasi Hills.
According to the general secretary, Shanbor Nongphud, the quality of the bridge, which connects Rambrai and Nongstoin, has gone to rack and ruin. Despite that, the concerned authorities have failed to pay heed till date, he rued, while maintaining that the bridge has deteriorated to such an extent that there are possibilities for an unlooked-for mishap.
The FKJGP has also sought the intervention of the Executive Engineer PWD (Road Nongstoin Division).
